For the Fall 2025 semester, the students will select and join one of four specialized sub-teams, remaining with their chosen team for the entire semester.
Fall 2025 Sub-Teams – Choose Your Impact
Sub-team 1 – GIS:
Continue building the Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping of Rwanda, capturing crucial data on disability prevalence and disability service touchpoints.
Sub-team 2 – UX:
Focus on designing and refining the Confluence platform, ensuring it is intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible for all.
Sub-team 3 – Lived Experience Narratives:
In close collaboration with our Rwandan partners, collect and curate authentic lived experience narratives from people with disabilities in Burera, Rwanda. These powerful stories will be integrated into the Confluence platform, providing vital contextual understanding of disability and AT needs.
Sub-team 4 – Low-cost Assistive Technology Production:
Work directly with our Rwandan partner to establish a workshop dedicated to the local production of affordable assistive technology solutions.
