Symptoms:

Treatment:
- Black widow:
- Wash wound with soap and water
- Apply antibiotic cream and cover with bandage
- Apply ice pack
- Elevation is bite is on arm or leg
- Seek medical attention immediately

Causes:
- Snakes are provoked or feel threatened
Treatment:
- Remove jewelry and watches before swelling occurs
- Area of bite is kept below level of the heart
- Remain still and calm
- Cover bite with loose bandage
- Antivenoms
When to see a doctor:
- As soon as possible after being bitten by a snake so proper antivenom can be administered

Ticks:
Symptoms:
- Redness
- Swelling
- Sore on skin
- Infected ticks/ deer tick symptoms
- a red spot or rash near the bite site
- a full body rash
- neck stiffness
- a headache
- nausea
- weakness
- muscle or joint pain or achiness
- a fever
- chills
- swollen lymph nodes
Causes:
- Tick bite

- Remove tick promptly and carefully (use tweezers)
- Wash your hands and the bite site with water and soap
- Antibiotics if bitten by deer tick

- Cannot remove tick
- Rash gets bigger
- Develop flu-like symptoms

- Bitten by a deer tick
