Rashes

Call doctor if

  • Child is younger than 6 months
  • Has a fever
  • Has rash that oozes, swollen or wet (signs of infection)
  • Does not get better in two days
  • starts to peel
  • Has hives
  • Has bruises not from injury

Find the reason

  • jewelry diaper rash, soaps, pets
  • Clean the skin with mild soap and rinse with warm water
  • Put wet cloth on rash to ease pain and itching
  • Trim child’s fingers to avoid scratching
