Weathered Surface
Weathered is a general term used to define the slow degradation of wooden materials exposed to outdoor environments and is often seen on exposed areas such as siding, decks, roofs and porches. Weathering can be caused by wind-driven rain, sunlight, heat, cold, sand or dust abrasion which may have removed a protective coating. In some cases, sanding and refinishing protective coatings can save the element.
