Missing Structure
Missing structure is generally evidence of loss of framing strength due to deterioration or even theft for reuse elsewhere. In some cases, material will have been selectively removed due to damage or for salvage use elsewhere. Missing structure should be identified and calculations made on the proper size and configuration of the replacement member.
