Purpose & Audience

Purpose

After discussing our topic and archive, we decided that we want our website to serve the purpose of educating how political censorship affected letters and communication during WWII.

Audience

In terms of audience, we decided that we want our website to be especially catered to a Georgia Tech audience of (e.g. college students, those who are in academia,  women of color, or women of color in their teens and early 20s, parents of small children who we want educated on the issue, men who identify with the baby boomer generation, those who are in the military or who are interested in military history, etc.). With this in mind, we think the tone will need to be formal yet empathetic. (e.g. academic and formal, academic/ more formal but empathetic, knowledgeable but more informal, knowledgeable but playful, etc.)
