Xi Wu

Xi

Xi received her B.Sc. in Optoelectronics Information Engineering from University of Shanghai for Science and Technology in 2015, and her M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2017. She joined the Photonics Research Group at Georgia Tech as a PhD student in Fall 2017. Xi had worked as an optoelectronics intern at Seagate Technology in Summer 2020.

Xi’s research is focused on integrated photonic devices for ultrasensitive sensing applications, and she has abundant experience in EM simulations, fabrication, and characterization. Her work on the demonstration of the first thermally-reconfigurable high-Q SiC microring resonators with optimized integrated microheaters as a building block for SiC-based optical circuits was selected to be a news release on The Optical Society of America (OSA).
