Dr. Hanchao Lu received his PhD in History from the University of California, Los Angeles and joined the Georgia Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor in 1994. He currently serves as Interim School Chair and is a full-time Professor, specializing in modern East Asian history, at Georgia Tech’s School of History and Sociology. He is also an award winning author, his works having been translated into Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Spanish.
