Jason Reed

Jason is a Ph.D. student in Electrical & Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he recently earned the M.S. degree in Cybersecurity. He also holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo, as well as M.B.A. degrees jointly awarded from Purdue University and the ESCP-EAP European School of Management. Jason’s research interests include cybersecurity and machine learning with application focus on automation and networking in critical infrastructure.

He has industry experience in design, integration and troubleshooting of industrial control systems. This includes seven years being stationed above the arctic circle at a remote mining operation, where he was responsible for a large process automation network that managed power generation, water treatment, and numerous industrial systems. Jason also served as a software design team member on an award-winning project involving the first digital upgrade of a commercial U.S. nuclear reactor protection system.
