The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) at Georgia Tech is organizing a one-day Junior Researcher Workshop on April 19, 2024. We are soliciting applications from Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers who would be interested in participating in the workshop!
Our goal is to broaden participation in research and increase ties between junior researchers from diverse backgrounds and Georgia Tech ISyE. The workshop will provide opportunities for researchers to learn about and interact with Georgia Tech ISyE, with each other, and to present their research and learn new skills. The workshop, in particular, will be comprised of:
- Presentations, lightning talks, and/or posters by participants that are accepted to the workshop;
- Mentorship, where small groups of participants will be matched with a faculty mentor and can ask questions about academia, research, the job market, etc.;
- “How to” talks/Skill sessions to help develop skills useful in research and on the job market
- Roundtable discussions about topics of interest to the participants

Reaching ISyE:
The Main ISyE building is located on the western side of campus, as per the map below; the address is 755 Ferst Drive; see picture of the main entrance below. In case you need to park, the map also shows where the two closest visitor parking decks are located ($15/day). There is a also a free shuttle, open to everyone, that goes from midtown to the Georgia Tech hotel to ISyE (more info here: https://www.pts.gatech.edu/shuttles/stinger/)
