This old picture was taken in 1993 when I first visited the Temple of Confucius in Qufu, Shandong Province. Xingtan 杏坛 (Apricot/Gingko Tree Forum) is said to be the place where Confucius taught. Hadn’t realized that I would have become a teacher many years later.
