The underlying mission of the lab is to apply engineering principles and technical problem-solving techniques to current clinical issues affecting the imaging, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular and neurological diseases. Specifically, our research focuses on developing new applications of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) that directly impact disease diagnosis and patient care, as well as using imaging to understand basic physiology and disease mechanisms.
The 3 terms that describe our lab are Clinical Applications, Collaboration, and Team Science.
