Spiridon (Spyros) Reveliotis

Spyros Reveliotis is a professor in the Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech.

Dr. Reveliotis’ research interests are in discrete event systems theory and its applications, especially in the control of flexibly automated production and workflow management systems. A significant part of his past and ongoing research addresses problems related to the structural analysis and the supervisory control of flexibly automated production and workflow management systems, and the development of effective scheduling policies for these environments.¬† On the educational side, he has an active interest in the application of web-based multimedia technology in teaching and training.

Dr. Reveliotis is a senior member of IEEE, a member of IIE and INFORMS, and is a registered engineer with the Technical Chamber of Greece. He also serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Robotics and Automation.

Dr. Reveliotis completed his Ph.D. studies in industrial engineering at the University of Illinois.
