Prospective Ph.D. Students

We are still deciding on whether we will admit a student for the Fall 2026 Cycle. Check back for more soon!

As an interdisciplinary lab, we are open to considering students in any of the Ph.D. programs offered by Georgia Tech’s School of Psychology. We currently have Ph.D. students in both the Quantitative and Cognitive and Brain Sciences areas. To apply to join our lab, submit an application and be sure to list Mark Himmelstein as a potential advisor. The application deadline is December 1. Click here for more information on applying.

Postdocs

Though we are not actively recruiting at this time, we are always open to meeting brilliant researchers! If the fit is right, there may be opportunities to meet potential postdoctoral researchers.

if you are interested, feel free to send your C.V. and a bit about your interest in the lab to Mark at mhimmelstein3@gatech.edu.

Current Georgia Tech Students

The SUB lab is highly collaborative and interdisciplinary. Though we cannot guarantee having open positions, we are open to meeting and considering students at any level (Ph.D., Masters, Undergraduate) and from any program, School or College. If you are interested in joining us, please email Mark with a brief letter explaining your research interests, which projects you might be interested in working on, and a current C.V. or resume. Be sure to provide some info about your statistical training and what statistical software you are comfortable with. This won’t be a dealbreaker! It just helps to know.

Postbacs/Lab Manager

We do not currently anticipate hiring any postbacs or a lab manager in the immediate short term. However, this could change fast, or for the right candidate/situation. If you really think you’d be an oustanding fit, feel free to send a C.V. and letter of interest to Mark.

External Collaborators

We are always looking for new opportunities to collaborate! If you believe you have something to offer any of the SUB lab projects, or have a project in mind we might be able to help out with, feel free to reach out to Mark any time.
