What is K-12 Event?
The K-12 Outreach Competition, held by the national AIChE, encompasses designing and presenting an experimental/interactive module to teach k-12 students about chemical engineering and science!
For this year, our module, “A Salty Competition,” was selected to compete at nationals for the 3rd-5th grade age group. This module’s objective was to give an educational, interactive, and competitive demonstration on the integral properties of density and buoyancy through floating an egg in water with a team by adding the least amount of salt possible.
