MS/PhD Career Advising & Drop-ins

The Graduate Career Development Team at the Georgia Institute of Technology serves all students within our Master and PhD Programs. We offer a wide variety of services including one-on-one appointments, daily drop-in hours, resume/CV and cover letter review, CV review, and customized workshops and programs. We also assist in processing internship applications for the Graduate Internship Program.

In-Person Drop-In Hours

The Graduate Career Development Team offers weekly drop-in hours when classes are in session in the fall & spring semesters! Drop-ins are for quick (15 minutes or less) questions! Please see the daily drop-in schedule below.

Days: Weekdays (Monday-Friday)

Location: Bill Moore Student Success Center – Festival Level (Basement)

Time: 2:00 pm-4:00 pm

* Our drop-ins will begin the first day of class and end the last day of class each semester. Drop-ins will not be held during university holidays, breaks, or exam periods.

Schedule an in-person or virtual appointment with one of our Graduate Career Development Advisors to discuss in-depth questions related to your resume/CV, cover letter, career options, job or internship search, job offer and salary negotiation, and LinkedIn Profile, among others! We also offer 45-minute mock interview appointments.

Additional Advising Support for Job Search Document Review

The Center for Teaching and Learning also offers one-on-one consultations about academic job search for PhD students and postdocs. Schedule a consultation to review the academic job application packet or discuss the interview or job talk.

The Communication Center offers one-on-one appointments for current graduate students to review your job search documents. Schedule an in-person, virtual, or asynchronous appointment with a Communication Center consultant to review your document.
