Professor Michney bio

Our teacher this semester, Dr. Todd M. Michney, is an  Assistant Professor in the School of History and Sociology who focuses on 20th century U.S. urban history, digital history, and the history of race and ethnicity. This Fall 2020 iteration of “Semester in the City” is his fourth time teaching the course, which was done entirely virtually due to the COVIC-19 pandemic. The course partner this year is the Greater Vine City Opportunities Program, Inc.; past course partners have included the Historic Westside Cultural Arts Council, Emerald Corridor Foundation, and Grove Park Foundation. “Semester in the City” is affiliated with Georgia Tech’s Serve-Learn-Sustain program.
