Rithika Gorrepati recently joined Georgia Tech to pursue my Master’s in Bioinformatics. Her journey into bioinformatics began with a curiosity about how life sciences can be transformed through technology. She has always been fascinated by how data can solve complex problems, especially in healthcare, and this passion led her to study Biotechnology at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, India.
Beyond the lab, she values leadership and teamwork, from leading her school’s sports teams to taking on student coordinator roles in college. These experiences have taught her the importance of resilience and collaboration, shaping her into someone who’s driven and ready to tackle new challenges.
Professionally, she has had the opportunity to work with organizations like T-Works, T-Hub, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, and Laurus Labs. Additionally, she has contributed to the field through various review papers, articles, and research papers on topics such as food security, synthetic meat, and microbial bioactive compounds.
She is excited about the potential of bioinformatics and look forward to contributing to advancements that make healthcare more accessible and impactful for everyone.
