Descriptions of what our executive board members do, as per our constitution and bylaws.
President
The President will be the senior executive officer of the Executive Board and will have general supervision of the affairs of the Yellow Jacket Archery Club at Georgia Tech and will preside at meetings. The President will represent the organization at conferences, conventions and faculty or alumni meetings. Additionally, the President will be available to assist the Executive Board members in the completion of any tasks and assignments.
Vice President
The Vice-President will be the junior executive officer and record the proceedings of each meeting, distribute the minutes to the members rand maintain order over information pertaining to the club. This duty includes tracking membership, minutes and records, attendance, public announcements and communication. The Vice-President is also responsible for keeping the membership informed by sending out and reviewing all pertinent announcements to the organization. Lastly, the Vice-President will act on the behalf of the President in the event of their absence.
Treasurer
The Treasurer will be the finance officer and maintain records of all revenue and expenditures and ensure that generally accepted practices and monetary controls are in place. The Treasurer will collect dues, collect payments, have access to the club’s accounts in conjunction with the President, and oversee the organization’s budget as needed and/or requested by members at large or the Executive Board. Additionally, the Treasurer shall be responsible for the preparation of the yearly budget and any fundraising activities.
Practice Coordinator
The Practice Coordinator is to be responsible for the organization and execution of all club practices. The Practice Coordinator will set the club’s practice schedule for the semester within the first month. They are responsible for detailing plans for skill and coaching progression.
Tournament Coordinator
The Tournament Coordinator will be responsible for keeping track of and notifying the Executive Board of all national, regional, and local archery shoots the club intends to attend. Additionally, They are responsible for submitting registration and organizing logistics for said shoots and requesting
Membership Chair
The Membership Chair will be responsible for the recruitment and retainment of club members. This duty includes maintaining a membership roster and organizing all club social initiatives. The Membership Chair will also be responsible for maintaining club relations with alumni members.
Equipment Manager(s)
Equipment Managers will be responsible for maintenance and the acquisition plan for all club-owned equipment. The Equipment Managers will determine policies regarding equipment storage and organization for all club-owned items. Equipment Managers will set equipment layout and distribution plans for the club.
Safety Officer(s)
Safety Officers will be responsible for maintaining all club safety standards, submitting club incident reports, and leading semester club safety reviews. All Safety Officers must obtain a CPR, First Aid, Concussion, and AED certification by the date set by the Rec Sports Office. The Safety Officer(s) can coordinate with the CRC certifications for club members. All Safety Officers must abide to all Campus Recreation Center policies and guidelines.
Fundraising Chair
The Fundraising Chair will be in charge of organizing efforts to bring in revenue for the club. This includes fundraisers, asking for donations, and managing club merchandise.
Social Media Chair
The Social Media Chair will be in charge of the club instagram, facebook, and website as well as general club promotion.
