Welcome to the Paravastu Research Group in the School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Our work broadly focuses on disease-related self-assembling peptides and de novo peptide assemblies. Our Lab combines Structural Biology and Computational Design to engineer nanostructured materials through protein self-assembly. We utilize solid-state and solution NMR to characterize the molecular-level structure of these peptide nanofibers and oligomers to gain insights into the biophysics governing the assembly process.
