Welcome to the Champion Research Group in the School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. Our work focuses on developing biologically active nanomaterials for therapeutic applications in cancer, wound healing, vaccines, and auto-immune diseases, as well as industrial biocatalytic applications. We make biomaterials from proteins, allowing us to tune both specific biological interactions and physical properties of materials. In addition, we use protein design and characterization techniques to control and understand self-assembly of proteins into supramolecular structures.
