- Find a credible source that aligns with the focus of your project
- Separate into sections resembling those in the journal (introduction, methodology, Study 1, Study 2, etc.)
- Makes data more searchable
- Copy quotes from each section that you could reference in your project
- Highlight/bold important parts of each quote (keywords, phrases, etc.)
- Color code your evidence (make it easy to absorb)
- Put citation at the bottom
- Interpret each quote and its relationship to your project (write down ideas as they pop in your head)
- Sometimes, you can save a source and forget how to use it in the future
- Add tags/keywords into your notes to find research easily later
