Sabre is a software and technology company headquartered in Southlake, Texas just outside of Dallas. Within the airline industry, Sabre provides software to manage passenger reservations, distribution, revenue management, and network optimization.
Sabre has a well-established internship program in the US and across the globe. Graduate interns work at Sabre over the summer and are assigned to a specific project and mentor. The majority of interns who work in Sabre Research in the revenue management area are graduate students in operations research or data science. A variety of networking and professional development opportunities are incorporated into the internship program, including seminars with the executive leadership team, multi-disciplinary team competitions, and after-work social activities.
Several of the internship projects at Sabre have led to major system enhancements and/or published papers. Many interns have gone on to pursue successful careers at Sabre. For example, two of the vice presidents in Sabre’s product organization were former interns in Sabre Research, including Sergey Shebelov!
