Several members of ATL@GT previously participated in the MIT PODS Consortium directed by Dr. Peter Belobaba. When Dr. Belobaba retired in 2023, members approached Dr. Laurie Garrow and asked her if she would be willing to lead a center at Georgia Tech that continued the strong tradition of collaborating with industry partners to advance the state of the art in revenue management.
“I am humbled and honored to be asked to take on this significant leadership role for the aviation community,” Dr. Garrow said. “Peter and his students set a very high bar for pursuing research that has a direct and meaningful impact on practice and I’m excited to be taking the next journey with our corporate members and GT graduate students as we tackle new research opportunities emerging with NDC, machine learning, and cloud computing.”
