ATL@GT members networking at Runway 34 restaurant after tour of Zurich airport
The Lufthansa Group hosted a 1.5-day meeting at their Swiss headquarters in Zurich on November 19-20, 2024. Packed with engaging presentations by students and researchers, the event fostered rich discussions and brought forth exciting new ideas for future collaborations. Despite Zurich’s crisp November chill, the city’s charm added a unique backdrop to the meeting. A highlight of the meeting was the guided tour of Zurich Airport, which offered fascinating insights into its world-class operations and logistics. The evening concluded with a delightful dinner at the aviation-themed Runway 34 restaurant. This unique venue is built in the form of a hangar around an aircraft—an original Ilyushin 14—making it an unforgettable dining experience.
Though many participants were far from home, Mathias, Milan, Mila and Florian’s warm hospitality made everyone feel truly welcome. For some members, this trip also provided the perfect opportunity to explore other parts of Europe, adding a touch of adventure to an already unforgettable experience.
