ATL@GT meeting in Houston

Third ATL@GT meeting in Houston, November 2023

ATL@GT held its third consortium meeting on November 14th and 15th, 2023 hosted by PROS at their headquarters in Houston, TX.

Professor Laurie Garrow, Alan Walker, and Jeff Newman, shared results with members validating the results from the new RM simulator. Doctoral students Tulio Sulbaran and Gabriel Diniz gave the members a demonstration on how to use the new RM simulator and generate output and graphics. Special guest Dr. Stacey Mumbower shared the results of her literature review on ancillary pricing and Dr. Peter Belobaba gave a review of ancillary choice models implemented in PODS. Dr. Emmanuel Carrier reviewed prior PODS results on continuous pricing.

Masters’ students Anna Geoly and Richard Sarria showcased the results comparing different RM methods on two networks and Masters’ student Noah Schwab did an extensive analysis developing metrics to show how they stack up against real world data.

The research team also got a chance to explore Houston and visit the Johnson Space Center!

The next ATL@GT meeting will take place in Spring 2024 at the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta where we will have a special celebration for the one year anniversary of the center.
