Below are a number of Conferences ORS students have attended in the past or are planning to attend in the future to present their research. If you are interested in a conference let us know ASAP so we can assist in securing funding/ travel arrangements, and while ORS does not guarantee stipends to scholars/teams who wish to travel to present their research we will still try to help you in anyway possible.
There is potential for teams attending a conference to bring additional scholars, so please let us know if you are interested and we can try to connect you with other teams that are already going.

Rising Stars in EECS 2018 |

This workshop brings top graduate and postdoc women in EECS together for two days of scientific discussions and informal sessions aimed at navigating early stages of the academic career. In addition to research presentations, we will hold panel discussions with MIT and invited faculty, discussions about the interview and the promotion processes and set aside time for the participants to get to know each other and form connections that will hopefully persist through time. Applicants must be female graduate students within approximately 1-3 years of graduating with a Ph.D. at the time of the workshop or have obtained a Ph.D. no earlier than 2015 and do not currently hold a faculty position. |

SGA Conference Funds |
21 days before departure. | Each academic year, a portion of the Student Activity Fee collected from all students is placed into 2 Conference Funds (Undergraduate & Graduate), to support any currently enrolled Georgia Tech student who travels to present research at a conference. This fund is designed as a secondary source, to complement departmental or sponsored funds that do not cover all costs incurred for a trip. PURA Travel Award |
You must submit the application at least 1 month before departure and no more than 3 months. |
Undergraduate students whose research has been accepted for presentation at a professional or academic conference may apply for up to $1,000 in PURA Travel Award funding. Multiple travel awards can be granted within the same academic year, and students may receive a travel award during the same semester of salary award funding. Funds are competitively awarded. Undergraduate student in good standing (GPA > 2.0), Funding can only be awarded to students who have already been accepted. |
