đ˘ We look a little different this year!
You might have noticed that the pages for Legislative Council or Hall Council are no longer here. This year, under guidance from the Department of Housing and Residence Life, the Residence Hall Association’s Executive Board is taking a step back from normal operations to take part in developing a strategic plan to guide RHA for the next 5-10 years.
The normally Executive-Board-facilitated Legislative Council and Hall Councils will not exist for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023. In their place, Hall Directors across campus are administering Area Councils so our communities still have access to that funding source. Check out our Area Council page for more information!
More information regarding changes and the strategic planning effort will be available by the end of September. Any questions regarding this change can be directed to RHA’s Executive President.
Who Are We?
The hundreds of events in and around all 49 residence halls across campus every year, the voice of thousands of residents, and one of the leading student leadership organizations at Techâthatâs us, and if you live on campus, youâre a part of it! The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is the second largest student organization on campus, and weâre made possible by the over 8,000 residents who live in Georgia Tech Housing. We help breathe life into Tech traditions and classic eventsâlike Homecoming, Intramurals, and Week of Welcomeâand provide funding for residents, RAs, Hall Directors, and other student organizations to help build community and make our halls into homes. In years past, weâve been the voice behind the integration of the Menstrual Product Program into residence halls, the creation of a redesigned maintenance request portal, and the adoption of free laundry for our residents.
