To wrap up the end of the semester, we’re bringing dogs onto campus for Dogapalooza, helping residents Float Through Finals, and giving away prizes to residents who complete our end-of-year survey.
DOGAPALOOZA 🐶
This Wednesday, April 27, join us at the GT Connector lawn (between Glenn and Towers residence halls) from 1:00 to 3:00pm for Dogapalooza! We’ll have all things dogs, including free hot dogs, therapy dogs, dog-toy making, animal shelter philanthropy, dog stickers, and dog t-shirts—plus music and good vibes!
Dogapalooza’s therapy dogs are brought to us by Happy Tails Pet Therapy.
Get a T-Shirt! 👕
We have 275 t-shirts (in sizes S – XXL) to give out, so be sure to participate to get one! You can earn a t-shirt in one of two ways:
- Bring an old t-shirt with you to the event. It can be from a past event at Georgia Tech, a really big or really small shirt you no longer fit into, or just a shirt you’re ready to say goodbye to! You’ll help turn your old shirt into a no-sew dog toy, and we’ll give you a brand new Dogapalooza shirt for your efforts!
- Donate $5 to a local animal shelter via Venmo—details at the event on the day-of.
Enjoy a Hot Dog 🌭
Choose one of four different hot dogs to dig into and enjoy!
- Asian Slaw Dog: Asian slaw, ginger sesame aioli, chopped green onion
- Caribbean Jerk Dog: Caribbean jerk sauce, diced pineapple, cilantro lime aioli, and diced cilantro
- Average Joe Dog: regular hot dog, with ketchup, mustard, mayo, and relish packets available
- Vegan Dog: a chipotle tofu scramble dog, with corn salsa and a vegan aioli sauce
FLOAT THROUGH FINALS 🍦
On Tuesday, April 26 from 6-8pm, join us at the Nelson-Shell/Zbar lawn to float your way through finals! Get a hand-scooped ice cream float—with your choice of coke, Dr. Pepper, root beer, sprite, or orange fanta—and stay for lawn games, music, and an all around de-stress fest before finals start up. Be sure to commemorate your last day of classes of the year with a Polaroid picture, on us!
Be sure to monitor our Instagram (@rhagt) for day-of updates—if it rains or if there is other inclement weather, we’ll post a cancellation notice. Our rain date is Friday, April 29 from 6-8pm.
END OF YEAR SURVEY 📄
Annually, we survey residents on a variety of issues related to living on campus and ongoing RHA projects. This year, we are interested in surveying residents on personal mobility devices (e-scooters, e-skateboards, etc), laundry machine maintenance, and the menstrual product program. As an incentive for completing this survey, each person who completes the survey will earn four virtual raffle tickets, which they can allocate across our various prizes:
