Trek Through Tech Information
Trek Through Tech is a week-long scavenger hunt guiding you through Week of Welcome events, important locations and resources around campus! Follow clues and compete against other residents to earn points for each mission to win prizes!
The scavenger hunt is hosted on the Goosechase app. It begins on Monday August 11 at 12 AM and concludes on Sunday August 17 at 11:59 PM. Join fast before spots run out since the game is limited to 1000 players!
💭 How Does It Work?
To join the scavenger hunt, download the Goosechase app on your mobile device. If you’re a first-time user, visit here to learn how to play. The game code is FUU4DR and the name is “Trek Through Tech 2025”. Keep in mind that the hunt is intended to be played individually and prizes will be given to individuals. Regardless, you can still play with others!
For each mission you will need to submit evidence of completion in one of three forms: picture/video, text, or GPS location. Each mission describes an activity for you to complete or a location to find on campus, and points are automatically awarded when evidence is submitted. GPS location and text-based evidence are automatically screened for accuracy. Picture/video evidence is automatically awarded points upon submission. However, they will be reviewed for accuracy by a game moderator. Inaccurate submissions will be rejected and the points earned from the task will be deducted. Spam photo/video submissions, inappropriate submissions, and any sort of illegitimate submissions to earn points quickly will result in subsequently stricter point deductions.
Although you may not know the answer to each mission immediately, feel free to use the Internet as a guide!

🎁 Prize 1: Free T-shirt
Collect 1200 points to receive a short sleeve t-shirt! The pickup date, time and location will be announced on the Goosechase app. The shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be 160 shirts available (35 S, 40 M, 40 L, 30 XL, 10 2XL, AND 5 3XL).
